Travelling to Europe — The Plan
We’ve made a decision to visit Europe in the spring 2009! Nothing’s concrete yet but here are a few places we’re planning on visiting. Right now the places we’d like to go are kinda scattered so, we’ll be refining the list as we go.
This is our current (it changes) must-visit list . For some reason, I’ve always wanted to see windmills and tulips, so Holland is in this list (and a major reason why we’re going in spring!)
- London, UK
- Paris, France
- Rome, Venice, Italy
- Switzerland
- Amsterdam, The Netherlands
We working with a rough estimate of 4 days per country (plus travel time) so that means we’d need about 3 weeks to complete the first list. We are trying to keep our budget to below EUR3600 (USD5500) for two people.
Here are some more, if we can afford the time (and money!):
- Athens, Santorini, Greece
- Istanbul, Turkey
- Berlin, Munich, Germany
- Prague, Czech Republic
- Vienna, Austria
- Barcelona, Madrid, Spain
- Moscow, Russia
And these places would be nice too aka Scandinavia:
- Stockholm, Sweden
- Helsinki, Finland
- Reykjavik, Iceland
- Copenhagen, Denmark
- Western Fjords, Norway
We’d like to fit in Morocco into this leg but we’d probably do that when we decide to do North Africa + Middle East.
