Planning Tip: Check Sunlight Hours

Living near the equator, we get 12 hours of sunshine everyday, whether in January or August. It’s not the case however, in other parts of the world. Depending on the place and the season, you might get 16 hours of sunlight in the summer or a 4pm sunset in winter. It’s best to take note of the sunlight hours for the place you’re visiting when planning your itinerary. Destination guides may provide a rough monthly chart but I find timeanddate.com especially useful for this purpose.
