The Fall is a film by Tarsem Singh starring Lee Pace as injured stuntman Roy and Catinca Untaru as fellow patient Alexandria. The main star of the show (apart from the irresistibly charming child actress Catinca) is the dazzling natural landscapes shot around the world and the gorgeously intricate architecture of India, particularly in the state Rajasthan, which forms the backdrop to many of the fantasy scenes in the movie.

Some of the locations look pretty surreal like this scene involving what looks like an M.C. Escher artwork coming to life. It is actually a stepwell in a village in Rajasthan.

If there ever was a movie primarily made to stir one’s wanderlust and evoke escape, this is it.

The superb cinematography panning over lush Balinese rice terraces, red sand dunes of Namibia and many seemingly otherworldly vistas, would give even the most extensive of tourism campaigns a run for their money.
